What's all this talk about Lundia!

century! In fact, today's wood components will still work in most
shelving installations dating back to the 1960's.
It's so easy to use! Even more impressive
is it's incredible strength especially with how light and easy it is to
transport and assemble.
On the morning of January 17th,1994, Los Angeles
suffered one of it's most devastating earthquakes on record....the
infamous "Northridge Quake". In the heart of the quake was the Northridge
mall. The largest store in the mall was Broadway (Now Macy's) They
literally had hundreds of shelving sections in stockrooms on 3 different
floors. Amazingly enough, every single metal shelving system collapsed
or was crushed. The only shelves still standing intact were the
stockrooms that had LUNDIA all wood shelving. When the metal shelves
flexed during the quake they actually bent and then collapsed. When our
LUNDIA shelves flexed, the wood simply deflected and returned to it's
original state. From then on Store management selected LUNDIA shelves
ONLY for all new installations of Broadway stores (Now Macy's). |
